Thank you to everyone who Signed to join THE ICP 2022-2023 TEAM!
Although the ICP team is not currently recruiting anymore volunteers or members, there will be more opportunities to join us throughout the year. We appreciate everyone who reached out, and are looking forward to working with you this year.
Why Join ICP?
Join us in the organization of this stimulating and unique event! Do you want to contribute to promoting and showcasing innovative research in psychology? Would you like to learn how an academic conference works, get involved, and meet new people from the University of Ottawa and other universities? This is the organization for you!
You can become an associate member and/or a volunteer in any of our subcommittees at any point during the year: Finance, High School Liaison, Logistics, Peer-Review, and Publicity. An associate member works closely with a director to organize and plan the conference throughout the year. A volunteer mainly helps with day-of conference activities. Click here to learn more about what each committee is responsible for in the organization of ICP.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email us at icp.cip.uottawa@gmail.com or message us on social media (linked at the bottom of the page).
Note: Applicants for executive committee directors or co-chairs must currently be enrolled into a graduate program. Individuals do not have to be enrolled in a psychology program (however, most of the team must be comprised of psychology graduate students).
About Volunteer Opportunities with ICP
Volunteers working with the Interdisciplinary Conference in Psychology (ICP) are able to track their volunteer work hours and obtain a Co-Curricular Record. The CCR is an official school document that certifies your community involvement and may be used for applications into graduate programs and other work opportunities. In order to register and begin tracking volunteer hours, students are asked to log into their UoZone account, click 'Applications' and select 'Community Engagement Navigator'.
Students can find our placement via our placement number (663) or placement title (ICP Volunteer 2022-2023) under the EV (Extracurricular Volunteering) tab. To enrol/register in this opportunity, click 'Select' then 'Confirm' under the Options menu. By registering, students can begin tracking his/her volunteer hours to be approved and included in his/her Co-Curricular Record. If you have any questions please email us at icp.cip.uottawa@gmail.com or visit the uOttawa website here.
